New Delhi, September 22 (ANI): India-Canada ties nosedived after PM Justin Trudeau’s “absurd” allegations against India. He alleged India’s involvement in the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. In a tit-for-tat move, both India, Canada expelled each other’s top diplomat from their respective countries. Meanwhile, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, chief of Sikhs for Justice threatened Hindus to leave Canada. Now, Ritesh Malik, an Indian-origin Canadian Citizen strongly replied to Pannu’s threat and said, “India Is Our Motherland”. Earlier, MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi called Canada’s allegations “primarily politically driven”. Adding fuel to the fire, Justin Trudeau repeated his “absurd and politically motivated” allegations. In a recent development, India has suspended visa services in Canada till further notice. Notably, Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Nijjar was shot dead outside a Gurudwara in Canada’s Surrey in June 2023. He was one of India’s most-wanted terrorists carrying a cash bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head.
